BIOGRAPHY & PATH
I've been playing music my entire life, starting on my grandfather's acoustic guitars at a very young age, moving to piano in middle school, and eventually picking up my first electric guitar around age 11 or 12, gifted by a family friend Mikey Q. From that day on, I played every single day. Through high school, I started bands and eventually landed in my first serious project, Madison Drive, which found local success in the Seattle pop-punk scene during the mid-2000s. We toured and grew, but I spun off into a few other local acts in similar styles. Ultimately, though, that pop-punk mould wasn't really me. I truly cut my teeth—literally, one night—in grit-fueled bar room cover bands, solo acoustic gigs, power trios, and a ton of studio session work at historic Seattle rooms like Studio X and London Bridge. Over the years, I did a massive amount of recording in my many home project studios, diving deep into production and mixing. Eventually, I focused more on the art of writing and the intensity of the live show—pushing my guitar playing and pushing my musical style left, right, and beyond. I find myself somewhere between serious and seriously not serious, somehow between solo work and wanting a huge band, writing my own music simply because it makes me feel something.
